Alicia Spencer has over fifteen years of tax and accounting experience in Hawaii. Alicia’s experience in tax and accounting includes providing accounting and payroll systems implementations and tax planning and compliance services. Alicia has experience in serving clients in a variety of industries including not-for-profit organizations, construction contractors, ranches, retail stores, manufacturers, breweries, dispensaries, and employee benefit plans.
Alicia was raised in and started her career in public accounting career in Hilo and moved to Oahu where she worked for the Grant Thornton LLP for five years. Immediately, prior to joining Verity CPAs, Alicia was the Chief Finance and Accounting Officer for Pacific Island Health Officers Association; managing multiple programs and compliance with several government grants.
Alicia received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Gonzaga University. Alicia is licensed to practice as a CPA in the state of Hawaii and is a Certified Fraud Examiner. Alicia is also a member of the Hawaii Society of CPAs and a board member of the Puakea Foundation, a local Kaneohe not-for-profit organization.
